Friends of Fia: have organised a sponsored pyjama walk on Sunday, October 16, to support Fia and her family. Fia has Alexander disease, which is neurodegenerative, and there is no cure at present. Please meet at 11am at the Pier in your best pyjamas, and walk with the group to Grosvenor Gardens where everyone will be having a picnic. For more information please see www.gofundme.com/fofia, and see Friends of Fia on Facebook. It goes without saying that if you are unable to join the walk your donations will be appreciated and will be put to good use. Fia’s family are determined to ensure that other families in Westfield benefit from fund-raising too, and it is heartening to see how village groups have responded.
