Witnesses sought after car and bike collision in Chichester

POLICE are asking for a driver who was involved in a collision with a cyclist in Chichester earlier this month to come forward.

The incident happened at 12.10pm on Friday, January 11, on the B2178, St Paul’s Road, Chichester, at its junction with Little Breach.

It involved a small light coloured car and a cyclist. The woman driver stopped and spoke to the cyclist but failed to pass her details on.

The woman cyclist initially cycled off on her damaged bike but later attended St Richard’s Hospital, where she was admitted for four days and underwent surgery to her shoulder having suffered a serious injury to her shoulder.

Police are trying to identify the woman driver involved in the collision and would like hear from the driver or anyone who assisted or witnessed the collision.
