Woman cut from car after A27 crash

A WOMAN was trapped in her car after a crash on the A27.

The accident happened near the Barley Mow pub, Selmeston, at 4.15pm yesterday (Tuesday).

The woman's car collided head-on with another car coming the other way.

Firefighters from Lewes and Seaford rushed to the scene and freed her with cutting equipment.

Paramedics treated the woman's injuries and she was taken to Eastbourne District General Hospital.

The man driving the other car was also taken to the hospital with a minor injury.

A third car was damaged from debris after the incident.

The road was blocked from 4.15pm and re-opened at 6.20pm.
