Woman sought in connection with cinema assault could be in Brighton

Police in Hampshire have released a CCTV image of a woman they are looking to trace in connection with an assault in Portsmouth - and officers think she's in Brighton.

Police are looking to speak with this woman after an assault in Portsmouth SUS-161219-145753001

A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: “We would like to speak to her in connection with an assault at the Vue Cinema, at Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth, at 7.45pm on October 16.

“A 59-year-old woman was punched several times leaving her with bruising.

“We think that the woman pictured may have information that could assist our investigation, and believe she may be in the Brighton area.”
