Ardingly rowers take to Thames once again

There were wins for every age group from 13 to 73!

On Saturday, there were wins for Elliot Green and Harry Beedell in a pair and for Jake Liebers and Billy Swann in a double scull and then together in a quad scull.

There was another win in Masters quads for Alex Chester, Steven Denley-Hill, Slavo Radosevic and David Cowderoy and Steven took a win in his single scull too.

In Masters coxless fours, the win came from Colin Barratt, David Phillips, Dave Vincent and Steve Banks in a new crew line-up which obviously paid off.

Just a day later, Rosie won J18 single scull and the 13/14 year old quad of Ellie, Georgia, Anna and Isabella coxed by Georgia won again.

The junior girls’ wins came via three tough rounds of competition.

The club currently has 51 wins so far this year.

The previous record year saw 52 wins so we are hoping for more from this weekend at Staines Regatta, whilst keeping an eye on our representatives racing next weekend in Munich.

Ardingly will look to make a return to seas neare to home in the coming weeks.
