The Gunners host Valencia in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final on Thursday, so manager Unai Emery will hope all of his squad come through that game unscathed.

Arsenal will be without Aaron Ramsey (hamstring), Hector Bellerin (knee), Rob Holding (knee), Danny Welbeck (ankle) and Denis Suarez (groin).

Ainsley Maitland-Miles will miss the game through suspension after being sent off in Arsenal's 3-0 defeat at Leicester on Sunday.

Brighton midfielder Davy Propper is again likely to miss out with the hamstring injury he sustained at Wolves a couple of weeks ago.

Beram Kayal (hamstring) could also be out after going off early in the second half of Albion's 1-1 draw with Newcastle on Saturday. Yves Bissouma will come into the starting line-up if Kayal is not fit.

Solly March, an Arsenal fan growing up, could come into the starting line-up after impressing off the bench against Newcastle.

Anthony Knockaert will also be pushing for a start after returning to action as a second half substitute against Newcastle following a three-game suspension.

Anthony Taylor will take charge of the match.

Taylor has officiated the most games in the top flight this season - 30 - and has shown 94 yellow cards and just one red.

He has refereed three Albion league matches this campaign, the 2-2 draw at Southampton, 1-0 victory at home to Wolves and the 1-1 draw with Arsenal at the Amex.
