Arundel must do it the hard way now

ARUNDEL Cricket Club captain Will Clark feels his side's poor catching this season may end up relegating them.

They dropped another six on Saturday when they lost by 47 runs to Ansty. To make things worse, their last two games are against title-chasing Findon and Crawley Eagles.

Clark said: "It was a disastrous defeat on Saturday. We dropped catches again, as we have in our last few games against Broadwater and Pagham.

"If we'd held on to a matter of four in these games, we'd be safe and on around 200 points now. We could have bowled Ansty out for 120 if we'd held the chances and I'm confident we would have chased that.

"We are 20 points behind Broadwater now and have to get a miniumum of 21 points against Findon and Crawley. To say we are trying to do things the hard way is an understatement."
