Members of the Littlehampton Amateur Boxing Club have launched an appeal to find a new home for the group, which is currently based at Wick Hall, in Wick Street.

The call comes amid hopes for the club to increase the number of training sessions each week in an effort to propel promising young pugilists further in the sport.

“We have to spend hours setting up the ring and taking it down again,” the 38-year-old explained. “It means we are wasting time which we could be using to train the lads.”

Adrian is appealing for businesses or the public to sponsor the club in finding its own, purpose-built venue.

The former Royal Marine – who has competed at international level – said: “We’ve got a couple of youngsters who are showing some real promise.

“They have done all right this season. The hope is, that with more training we could really build on this.”

To support the club, email [email protected] or search for the club on Facebook.

Adrian added: “Boxing is a really great sport as it teaches discipline and self-control.”
