Captain's innings from Woodroffe

NEW Sidley captain Scott Woodroffe marked his first game in charge with a superb century during a tense Sussex Division Two match at Lewes Priory.

Woodroffe hit an undefeated 105 as the close fought encounter finished in a tie.

Priory totalled 232-5 thanks a stunning 121 from the dangerous Kashif Ibrahim and 51 from Michael Murray. Veteran Tyrone Wildman (3-89) was the pick of the bowlers.

Woodroffe's efforts and 31 from Paul Matthews saw Sidley finish on 232-6. Sher Khan (3-67) and Jim Ellis (3-56) caused most problems with the ball.
