Change in fortune needed

ARUNDEL Cricket Club are still only 20 points from safety despite their 50-run defeat at Broadwater on Saturday.

Their batsmen, low on confidence, were dismissed for just 105, chasing 156 to win. Captain Will Clark said: "We bowled and fielded really well but we dropped Steve Collins when he was in single figures and had we got him then, I don't think they would have got more than 80 or 90. Even batting badly, we would have got that.

"If we'd batted for our 36 overs, then we would have won."

He added: "Ansty and Broadwater are both catchable. We haven't got many points in our last couple of games but all it takes is a couple of wins to get up the table."
