The Hastings Priory talent top-scored with an impressive 62 not out in the final to help Sussex clinch the Emirates Airline T20 Trophy yesterday (Friday).

After winning the toss and batting first, Sussex - who also included former Priory batsman Matt Machan - made 150-3 from their 20 overs en route to a 12-run victory against The MCC, who were captained by the great Muttiah Muralitharan.

Sussex had previously beaten Lancashire in the semi-finals with another ex-Priory player Michael Yardy top-scoring. The action has now switched to the 50-over format with Sussex taking on the MCC Universities in Dubai today and the MCC Young Cricketers in Abu Dhabi tomorrow.

It’s the third time Finch, 19, has been to the gulf this winter having previously gone there twice with England under-19s, who he recently helped finish third in the ICC Under-19 World Cup.
