Dean passes 500 runs in crucial win

CLYMPING Cricket Club only need five points for promotion into Division 2 if they avoid defeat at third-placed Horsham Trinity on Saturday.

If Clymping win they are definitely up. If they lose, Horsham will still need a minimum of 10 points from their last match at St Andrew's to be promoted.

Clymping won the toss and put bottom-club St Andrew's into bat on Saturday. JJ Davies' 77, with 13 fours, helped them reach 214-9 from their 49 overs. Captain Paul Challen took four wickets and James Salisbury another two to take his tally for the season to 41. David Blackall also grabbed two wickets.
