The Seagulls won with Glenn Murray's 25th-minute goal but had to withstand a lot of pressure in the second half to hold on to all three points.

It was just Albion's second Premier League win in eight matches this season but moved them up to 12th in the table.

Speaking to Sky Sports afterwards, Duffy said: "We knew their front three were very dangerous, so we had to keep compact.

"They had four strikers up the pitch and were throwing everything at it.

"Thankfully we kept a clean sheet and got three points. It's a brilliant win for us."

Lewis Dunk added: "The clean sheet was the most important thing. Like we said before, if we keep a clean sheet we know we're going to get chances with Muzza (Glenn Murray) up front."
