Brighton & Hove Albion's Premier League match with Cardiff City will be rescheduled after the Seagulls reached the quarter-finals of the FA Cup this afternoon.

Albion beat Derby 2-1 at the Amex to reach the last eight for the second successive season.

The FA Cup quarter-final weekend is over Friday March 15 to Monday March 18.

Brighton were due to host Cardiff on March 16, so a new date will now be arranged for the Premier League game.

The draw for the quarter-finals of the FA Cup is on Monday evening after Chelsea's tie with Manchester United. It will be made by 2004 FA Cup winner Darren Fletcher and Wayne Bridge, who lifted the trophy with Chelsea in 2007.
