The Seagulls travel to West Brom for their fourth round replay on Wednesday and the winners will host Derby County in the last 16.

Albion reached the quarter-finals last season and with 13 Premier League sides already out, Dunk is aiming to get as far as possible in the competition.

He said: It's a big game on Wednesday. If we get through we know who we've got in the next round.

"A lot of Premier League teams have gone out, so we've got a good chance of a good run in the FA Cup. That's what our aim is and after that we've got Burnley, which will be another tough game."

Dunk is yet to play in the either of the Seagulls' FA Cup games this season. Albion won 3-1 at Bournemouth in the third round and then drew 0-0 with West Brom at the Amex last month.

He will be ready if called upon at the Hawthorns and said: "I want to play every game. You're a footballer for a reason, you don't want to train all week to not play. People have to do it but I want to be out there every week helping my team and doing the best I can.

"If I'm picked on the team sheet, I'll give my all to make sure we get through to the next round."
