Albion began 2019 with a seven-game winless run in the Premier League when the players felt all the little details in matches were going against them.

Things turned with a 1-0 win at home to Huddersfield and Brighton followed it up with a 2-1 victory at arch rivals Crystal Palace.

The Seagulls then fought back from 2-0 down at Millwall on Sunday to reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup on penalties.

Albion's equaliser came when Millwall keeper David Martin dropped Solly March's deep free kick into his own goal and Duffy said: "There wasn't any panic (about the start to the year) because we weren't playing too badly. It was just the little details.

"The goalkeeper obviously makes a mistake and it's just little turning points like that.

"Maty (Ryan) then saves a penalty and we're through, so it's just the little fine details.

"It could have been so different but overall I'm just relieved, delighted and excited."

Duffy added Albion's players did not get down about the winless run they went on and said: "We are always confident and it's three wins in a row now.

"A month ago everyone was going crazy that we didn't get a win, so it's three and you've just got to build on it.

"We've got a break now but a lot of players are away so we'll get back and the gaffer will be straight on to us to be ready."
