Speaking to www.brightonandhovealbion.com about knocking the Red Devils out of the competition, he said: “It’s an unbelievable feeling to play against the biggest club in the world and win 3-1 at their ground.

"All the players played well, we’re just looking forward to the next round now.

"It’s an unreal feeling because I support Man United and it’s a big moment for me to play against them, let alone scoring as well. I’m happy for myself and the boys, so to come here and go through to the next round is brilliant.”

Albion under-18 joint coach Mikey Harris was full of praise for his players and said: “I thought they were absolutely fantastic. They put in a lot of hard work since we knew the draw, not just the players, but all the staff too, as we’ve got a fantastic team of staff that put a lot of work in day in day out.

“It’s a fantastic night and this result is something the lads will always remember. They’ve given themselves a memorable night.”

Brighton will travel to Everton in the last 16 of the FA Youth Cup next month.
