Winger Solly March wants Brighton & Hove Albion's fans to be behind the team right from the start when they host Huddersfield on Saturday.
The Seagulls are without a win in seven Premier League games this year and host a Terriers side who are bottom of the table.
March knows the importance of the fixture and said: "We don't want the crowd to be edgy, we want them behind us from the start, and hopefully they will be, we know they will be.
"If they get behind us we'll have that confidence to get the three points.
"There are 11 games left. That's a third of the season. We've got a lot of games and a lot of games that, if you looked at before this run, you would be confident of picking up points.
"We need to be confident and play our game. I think the results and points will come."
Looking ahead to Saturday's clash with Huddersfield, March said: "Every game is important but Huddersfield at home, they are bottom of the table.
"They are a good side on their day, we know that. They play good football, but we need to be up for it and not concede sloppy goals.
"If we do that Saturday I think we'll be fine. We need to come out of the traps and hopefully the fans get behind us and I think we can be confident of three points."
