Leciester City are keen to spend some of their Harry Maguire money.

The Foxes are set to rekindle their interest in Bournemouth's classy defender Nathan Ake and Burnley's James Tarkowski in the new year. City made an unsuccessful bid for Tarkowski in the summer.

Chelsea however could be prepared to scupper that. They want to buy back their former defender Nathan Ake. The Dutchman joined the Cherries for £20m from the Blues in 2017 but Chelsea scout Piet de Visser wants him back at the Bridge. “Ake should have played for Chelsea. He’s so good," de Visser said.

There also appears to be little let-up in the James Maddison to Manchester United link. The Athletic website claims the 22-year-old will be heading to Old Trafford shortly. The report states, good relations between United’s chief executive and his Foxes counterpart Susan Whelan will help conclude the deal.

Real Madrid will demand a fee of £30m from Arsenal if they want to make Dani Ceballos' loan move permanent. Ceballos has featured nine times in the Premier League this season.

Chelsea have placed a £100m price on midfielder N’Golo Kante's head amid interest from Juventus. Maurizio Sarri, the current Juve manager, worked with the France World Cup winner in the Premier League with Chelsea last season.

Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is thought to be in the frame to succeed Lucien Favre at Borussia Dortmund. The Swiss manager is under pressure and Dortmund would like to offer the Special One a chance to return to management. He has been out of work since leaving Manchester United last December.

Tottenham have contacted Barcelona and want their midfielder Carles Alena on loan. Game time has been limited for the mkidfielder at the Nou Camp following the arrival of Frenkie de Jong.

Liverpool have "great interest" in Jadon Sancho. The England international joined Dortmund from Manchester City for £8m back in 2017. Manchester United tried to tempt the attacker to Old Trafford back in the summer but Liverpool feel they could have better luck.
