Spurs ended a three-game losing run as Harry Kane scored from the penalty spot after Glenn Murray handled Kieran Trippier's free kick and Erik Lamela was then left unmarked to sweep home the second.

Anthony Knockaert got a goal back in injury-time but Ryan was left to rue the goals Albion gave away.

He said: "I saw someone's arm go up from the side I was standing but I wasn't sure if it hit him or not.

"The referee played on for a couple of seconds, so I thought nothing of it but he went back and gave it.

"They're the little details where you get punished and we've given another penalty away. That's three this year and it's just frustrating I haven't been able to help the team in any of them so far this year.

"Even the second goal, it's a structural switching off or a structural mistake we make in not having one of our midfielders there on the edge of the box to cut out their cut-back.

"When you give away these opportunities at this level, you get punished."
