Arsenal frontrunners to sign Brighton and Hove Albion star as Seagulls transfer target addresses future

Brighton and Hove Albion have been linked with a move for on-loan Sunderland defender Dion Sanderson.

A report from the Daily Mail claimed Brighton, alongside Sheffield United and Crystal Palace, have been alerted to the potential availability of the Wolverhampton Wanderers man.

Wolves rate the 21-year-old highly but could consider offers this summer as he enters the final year of his contract.

Sanderson may remain at the Stadium of Light if the Black Cats are promoted to the Championship with both parties open to a deal.

Bristol City and Huddersfield Town are also lingering, but Sanderson insists he is not thinking about his immediate future.

Speaking to the Sunderland Echo, the former Cardiff City loanee said:

"For the time being I'm just enjoying my football really - taking it game by game, winning and enjoying it.

"I haven't really thought much of it, it's just enjoying my football.”

Meanwhile, according to The Sun, Arsenal have emerged as the frontrunners to sign Tariq Lamptey.

The 20-year-old has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery on his hamstring.

The speculation surrounding the young full-back continues, despite him signing a new long-term contract at the Amex Stadium in January.
