Pascal Gross' equaliser on 75 minutes earned Albion a point after Ayoze Perez gave Newcastle the lead in the first half. Here's how we rated the players of both teams.

No chance with Newcastle's opener. Denied Schar a second when the defender broke forward.
Back in the starting line-up in one of four changes from Tuesday's defeat to Tottenham. Perhaps fortunate not to give away a penalty when he appeared to trip Rondon at 1-0. Cross led to Albion's equaliser.
Strong in the air as usual. Excellent defensive header early on to clear Shelvey's teasing cross. Headed decent opening wide at 1-0.
Comfortable on the ball at the back. Will be wondering how Perez got so much space to give Newcastle the lead. Blocked low Rondon shot in the second half.
Steady enough at the back. Got forward from left-back more in the second half.
Played on the right-hand side of midfield in the first half. Moved into the centre for the second half and headed the equaliser from close range.
Saw lots of the ball in the middle of the park and played plenty of passes out wide. Grew more influential the longer game went on.
First league start since November but limped off early in the second half. Won possession and started counter-attack early on but Albion struggled throughout the first half.
Just the winger's second start since December. Struggled to get into the game. Subbed.
Partnered Murray up front and had little joy. Booked. Subbed at half-time.
Worked hard but saw little of the ball for an hour. Set up the equaliser for Gross. Headed over in the last minute from close range.
Replaced Andone at half-time and was excellent on the wing. Sent in one cross which Murray couldn't direct on target. Had a shot blocked after bright run and teasing cross was saved by Dubravka.
Came on for Kayal early in the second half. Booked.
Got the final 25 minutes.
Alert to come off his line and clear the danger with Murray lurking early on. Held teasing March cross in the second half.
Had opportunities to go forward from wing-back with Newcastle's three-man defence. Handled Izquierdo's pace and threat well.
Helped limit Brighton's chances. Caught in possession early on which led to Albion breaking forward. Led one counter and was denied by Ryan when through on goal.
Came back into the team for the ill Jamaal Lascelles. Made an excellent tackle to stop Andone getting away down the right in the first half. Solid.
Given too much time to deliver the cross which led to Newcastle taking the lead. Gave Albion's attackers little joy. Booked.
Solid at left-wing back. Good tracking back to stop Murray getting a shot away in the first half. Equaliser came from a cross from the left. Booked.
Rifled home the opener after 18 minutes to make it seven goals in seven league games. Went off just after the half-hour mark with a hip injury.
Steady in the middle of the park.
Midfielder's first league start since November. Dangerous cross headed clear by Duffy early on. Looked to pull the strings in midfield and saw lots of the ball. Subbed.
Lively and pace caused problems on occasions. Driving run and shot blocked in early exchanges. Subbed.
Knocked the ball down for Perez to put Newcastle ahead. Could have won a penalty shortly afterwards when he appeared to be tripped by Bruno.
Replaced Perez on 33 minutes. Wasted one break in the second half.
Got the final 17 minutes.
Came on for the last ten minutes.Booked.
