It was a perfect night for Graham Potter's side, who dominated throughout.
Leandro Trossard opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time with a superb curling effort to follow up his match-winner against Southampton last weekend.
Ryan Fraser hit the post as the visitors started the second-half on the front foot but Danny Welbeck' s stunning strike - his third goal of the season - put Albion firmly in control.
Newcastle never looked like getting back into the game and Neal Maupay made sure of that when he finished off a slick team move, with a fine volley, for his first goal in ten games.

Barely had a save to make but controlled his area well.
2. Jakub Moder - 8
Bright and energetic performance from the young Poland defender, who was not afraid to go forward. Missed two good chances early on to make it a dream first Premier League start. He popped up all over the place and made it very difficult for the Newcastle defenders to pick him up. Replaced by Davy Propper for final few minutes
3. Ben White - 7
Assured and confident on the ball, as usual, and never looked under much threat at the back.
4. Lewis Dunk - 7
He won't have too many quieter nights at the office but did his job when called upon.
