Brighton transfer news: London club confident of snatching Albion star this summer, Midfielder talks up 'perfect' move
Brighton took a massive step towards survival with a 2-0 win over Leeds United on Saturday afternoon.
The Seagulls had Pascal Gross and Danny Welbeck to thank for the goals that helped them to ease past the Whites, and to move 10 points clear of the relegation zone with just four games left to play.
While there is still a slim mathematical possibility that they could be dragged into the bottom three between now and the end of the season, the reality is that Albion can probably start planning for another season in the top flight.
And one man who is sure to be a key component in those plans is Lewis Dunk, who impressed again on Saturday.
Speaking after the game, Brighton boss Graham Potter said: “I thought his performance was sensational.
“I haven’t seen him play as well as that but his performances have consistently been at such a high level.
“He has been fantastic for us. You look at the clean sheets. I’m not saying it has just been to Lewis.
“I’m sure he will say the same. But he has contributed in terms of how he led that line.
“He has been fantastic for us and today he was amazing.”
Next up for Brighton is a clash against inconsistent Wolves.
Wanderers have won two of their last five outings in the Premier League, but were beaten 4-0 by Burnley last weekend, and could only muster a 1-1 draw against West Brom on Monday night.
