The Seagulls are still a little too close to the relegation zone for comfort, but while they had to wait a while, they did eventually get a deal over the line for Ecuadorian starlet Moises Caicedo.
One player who won’t be appearing at the Amex anytime soon, however, is Shane Duffy.
The centre-back has endured a loan spell with Celtic that has bordered on the disastrous at times this season, but according to Graham Potter, he will be staying in Glasgow for the foreseeable future.
Speaking about the Irishman, the Albion boss said: "Shane is at Celtic for the season.
"That was the arrangement, he was keen to go there and Celtic were keen to have him. It’s a season-long loan and we will assess at the end of that season, it’s probably not gone as well as he would have liked.
"But I have said before that Shane is a fighter, he is a good character and a good guy. I am sure he will be fighting to make things better."
Duffy has struggled to find his best form since joining the Hoops, and has been lambasted by pundits like Michael Stewart and Pat Bonner for much of the season.
The latter labelled the Brighton man “rash” for his shaky output this season, and after another performance to forget against St. Mirren at the weekend, Duffy’s time in Scotland shows no signs of improving any time soon.

4. Newcastle tried to nab Ntcham
Newcastle United tried to poach Olivier Ntcham from under the noses of Marseille.
