Here, we take a look at the players linked with joining and leaving Brighton & Hove Albion during January, and examine whether any of them could be serious deals:

The bookies have Liverpool (3/1), Manchester United (3/1), AC Milan (8/1), Leeds United (25/1) and Manchester City as contenders to sign the 26-year-old Brighton defender, who can also play in midfield.

We know Leeds has several big bids for White rejected last summer following a successful loan spell at Elland Road – and that he has caught the attention of the Premier League’s big boys.

However, the one-time Peterborough United loanee penned a new four-year deal with Albion back in September.

That means any club wishing to purchase White would likely have to break the bank to do so.

What do we think of this transfer rumour? Unlikely to happen during this window.

Maty Ryan and Sergio Romero

Brighton goalkeeper Maty Ryan has been told he can leave the club in the January transfer window after being dropped by Graham Potter.

Ryan was a regular starter in Potter's team until being axed for last month's goalless draw at Fulham.

If Ryan does indeed leave, Brighton will likely need cover for Robert Sanchez, which could come in the form of Manchester United stopper Sergio Romero.

SkyBet have the Argentina international priced at 25/1 make the move to the Amex Stadium.

Indeed, it has been suggested that he might not return to Manchester again as he angles for a permanent transfer away from Old Trafford this month.

United have reportedly given Romero permission to train in Argentina. But if he is unable to arrange an imminent transfer, the stopper will be expected back at Carrington.

Spanish club Valencia remain favourites with the bookies to secure his signature at the short price of 4/6 whilst Boca Juniors are also contenders at 2/1.

What do we think of this transfer rumour? Ryan is likely to leave if a club comes in, but a deal for Romero would have to be struck fast with firm interest from elsewhere.

Danny Rose

SkyBet are offering odds on the Seagulls signing Tottenham's England international left-back Danny Rose during the winter window.

Brighton are priced at 20/1 to conclude a deal for the 30-year-old former Sunderland loanee, who has fallen out-of-favour with Spurs boss Jose Mourinho.

Leeds United and Crystal Palace also feature in the betting at the same price, whilst odds are also being offered on West Ham (16/1), Newcastle United (16/1), Burnley (16/1), Sheffield United (8/1), PSG (8/1) and West Brom (5/4) concluding a deal for the defender.

What do we think of this transfer rumour? A move seems highly unlikely after Brighton recalled young Polish left-back Michal Karbownik from loan last week.

Yves Bissouma

Arsenal are reportedly interested in Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma who is said to be a 'huge Gunners fan'.

The 24-year-old Mali international has caught the eye for the Seagulls during the season so far.

Indeed, Football London reports a close friend of the star said he would choose the Gunners over a move to any other Premier League side.

A report states the Gunners have already made contact with Bissouma's agent Michael N'Cho and that the player is in regular contact with former Lille team-mates and Arsenal stars Nicolas Pepe and Gabriel.

What do we think of this transfer rumour? Although there is a lot of talk and links being drawn, a move in the summer appears to be a more realistic possibility than a transfer this month.

Moises Caicedo

Brighton are said to be in the advanced stages in a deal to sign Ecuador international Moises Caicedo, having fended off interest from Manchester United.

Reports suggest the Seagulls will pay £4.5m for Caicedo with the deal including a clause that will see Independiente de Valle recoup a significant percentage of any sell-on fee.

The Ecuadorian side's general manager has been quoted claiming "everything is closed" with a Premier League club and that they will make an announcement in the next few days.

What do we think of this transfer rumour? This one looks very likely to go through, barring any last-minute hurdles of course.

Ali Jahanbakhsh

Potter says he has no problem with Alireza Jahanbakhsh – but has admitted that the player wants regular football.

The Iran international revealed he turned down offers to leave Albion in the summer window.

But he also suggested that he isn't satisfied with a current situation at Brighton which has seen his playing time limited in recent weeks.

What do we think of this transfer rumour? This one could be dependant on a decent bid coming in, certainly one to keep an eye on.

Bernardo

Bernardo joined Albion from RB Leipzig on a four-year deal in July 2018 for a reported £9m.

He has played in several positions for club and country including right-back, left-back, wing-back and in midfield.

However, with Karbownik’s loan with Legia Warsaw cut short, Bernardo may be on his way out.

Bernardo, who made a rare start and played well at Man City last week, has struggled for game time under Potter and is linked with a loan to former club RB Salzburg.

What do we think of this transfer rumour? Highly likely given the recall of Karbownik.
