Brighton transfer rumours: Seagulls tipped to rival Everton for £35m-rated striker, Man City dealt transfer blow

Brighton & Hove Albion are back in Premier League action this weekend, when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux on Sunday.

Last time the two sides met, back in January, the two sides battled out a six-goal thriller at the Amex Stadium, with Aaron Connolly, Neal Maupay and Lewis Dunk all scoring for Brighton in an action-packed 3-3 draw.

As things stand, the Seagulls are sitting 14th in the table, and it would now take a disaster of monumental proportions to see them get relegated with just four matches of the season left to play.

Following rumours linking Brighton boss Graham Potter with the Spurs job, pundit Danny Murphy gave his verdict on the likelihood the Seagulls coach making the switch, claiming: “I understand [the link] because of the way Brighton play.

“Similarly we were talking off air about when Tottenham brought in Pochettino. He’d only been at Southampton for five minutes before they took him. So they could go down that route again. It might surprise one or two.

“Tottenham fans generally want someone who has been there and done it before, but they’ve just gone down that road and it didn’t work. So I’m not surprised he [Potter] is linked with the job, but we’ll have to wait and see.”
