Hughton was sacked by Brighton & Hove Albion on Monday despite keeping the Seagulls in the Premier League and reaching the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

It was a run of three league wins from 23 games which saw Hughton sacked as Albion struggled in 2019.

Hughton will be wanted by several Championship clubs and has already been made favourite to land the West Brom job on PaddyPower.

His is priced at 5/6, ahead of Lincoln boss Danny Cowley (9/2) and James Shan (9/2), who ended the season as Baggies caretaker boss.

The Daily Mail has reported today that West Brom will approach Hughton to discuss the job after they lost in the Championship play-off semi-finals last night.

The paper reports Hughton is their top target but Patrick Vieira is also on their shortlist.
