Graham Potter on walking dogs with Glenn Murray and a surprising transfer update

Brighton and Hove Albion's on-loan striker Glenn Murray is in talks to cut short his unsuccessful loan at Watford and move to Championship rivals Queens Park Rangers.

Murray has struggled for minutes on the pitch at Watford and has made just five appearances, four of which as a substitute.

The 38-year-old former Brighton man was out-favour under former head coach Vladimir Ivic and also current boss Xisco Munoz.

Murray remains contracted with Brighton but has little chance of forcing his way back in the side of Graham Potter's Premier League strugglers.

Murray is reported to favour a loan switch to Loftus Road and talks between the three clubs are said to progressing well.

"I am not aware to be honest," said Potter when asked about Murray's future at Thursday's press conference. "I bumped into him the other day walking the dogs actually.

"But we didn’t talk about that [his loan at Watford]. He wants to play as much as he can in his final seasons, so I guess I can understand his desire to do something, but I haven’t spoken to him about it."

Potter also said he was unaware of any firm offers for impressive Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma.

The 24-year-old Mali international has been an impressive performer this season and has caught the eye of Arsenal, Liverpool, Man United, Monaco and Real Madrid.

His agent Michael N'Cho said ahead of the January window that there is 'significant interest' in his client who is rated at around £35m.

"We have had no interest as far as I am aware," said Potter.

"Yves has probably played this season as much as he has played, he is enjoying his football, he is making steps.

"He is probably playing as well as he has done during his time here. That’s good for us, we need to focus on that.

"My job is to help him continue to makes steps on the pitch, then whatever happens after isn’t necessarily my area."
