Defender Adam Webster looks set to return having missed the match against Manchester United due to a hamstring injury sustained at Leicester City.

Webster hobbled off during the 0-0 draw at the King Power but has been training this week and is in contention to face basement team Norwich.

Influential midfielder Davy Propper should also feature at Carrow Road despite playing just the first 45 minutes against Manchester United because of a calf issue.

“We are going to wait as long as we can to make a decision (on Webster) but he is looking like he is going to make the weekend," said Potter speaking on a Zoom press conference. Of Propper, Potter added: "It is nothing serious. He is making a good recovery and it is more precautionary than anything.”

Steven Alzate will hope to be involved in his first match day squad since the restart. The Colombian international is said to be fit to play but continues to 'manage' a groin problem.

Long-term casualty José Izquierdo has not played for 12 months and continues to miss out with a knee injury.

Norwich remain rock bottom and will hope to hit back from their disappointing 4-0 loss at Arsenal yesterday.

Timm Klose returned having served a one-match ban, while Max Aarons, Lukas Rupp and Todd Cantwell all shook off knocks to start at the Emirates and will hope to fit for Saturday.

Victory for Albion would take them to 36 points for the season - their final points total for the last campaign under Chris Hughton.

“It’s an important game," Potter added. "It’s always going to be important for where we are in the table, for what stage of the season we are - for both teams, I would say.

“We have picked up four points from the lockdown.

“We were only two points from the bottom three at the restart.

“We have improved our position so we can be positive about that but, at the same time, we know we have still got a lot of work to do.”
