In his weekly predictions column for BBC Sport, pundit and broadcaster gave his scoreline tip for the game, and went with a 2-0 Brighton win.

Explaining his choice, the ex-Seagulls defender contended: “Leicester dropped more points in their draw at Burnley on Wednesday but they did not play too badly in that one considering their injury issues.

“The Foxes have got another fight on their hands here, though.”

Lawro continued: “Brighton have ended up empty-handed in their past couple of games, against Crystal Palace then West Brom, but they are playing well and sooner or later they are going to get a result that their performance merits, or even get a bit of luck themselves.

“Leicester hammered the Seagulls at King Power Stadium before Christmas but that was when their forward line was fit and firing on all cylinders, which is not the case now.”

Meanwhile, Lawro's sparring partner for the week, musician and Liverpool fan Ben Howard, tipped a 3-0 win for the Foxes.

The last time the two sides met in the Premier League, back in December, Brendan Rodgers' side stormed to a 3-0 home win, and also knocked the Seagulls out of the cup last month.

Brighton last defeated the Foxes in 2014, when they secured an emphatic 4-1 win away from home, with goals from the likes of loanee Jesse Lingard and striker Leonardo Ulloa.
