Graham Potter and co have until 11pm on Monday, February 1, to finalise their business ahead of the second half of the 2020/21 season.

Following a busy summer, it would be a surprise to see the Seagulls splash the cash but that’s not to say they won’t bring the odd one or two, if the right players become available.

We take a look at the two deals the bookies are tipping Albion to target this month:

Danny Rose – 20/1

Rose hasn’t played a competitive game since appearing for Newcastle United in July against Liverpool during his half-season loan on Tyneside.

Indeed, the England left-back has been frozen out by Jose Mourinho at Tottenham Hotspur after he was omitted from their 25-man squad.

The exclusion has left the 30-year-old in desperate need of a move that will revive his career, which could happen either this month or in the summer when his contract expires.

Spurs will likely command a small fee, should Albion or any other club for that matter, decide to make a move before the deadline.

Rose isn’t a name who has been directly linked with a switch to the Amex Stadium – nor is he believed to be in Potter’s thoughts – but his experience at both club and country certainly counts.

Sergio Romero – 25/1

With Mat Ryan’s future up in the air, the Argentine was touted as a potential replacement for the Australian should he leave the club.

Romero is on the lookout for a new team after being told his contract will not be renewed at Old Trafford.

He was excluded from Manchester United’s 25-man Premier League and Champions League squad after losing his number two spot to Dean Henderson.

The 33-year-old had been training back home in Argentina and is expected to attract offers across Europe.

Romero is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with a new club now ahead of joining in the summer.
