The 0-0 draw at Molineux ended a run of five successive defeats for the Seagulls although they have now failed to score in six matches.

Albion are three points clear of the Premier League relegation zone and the match at Tottenham is their game in hand on third-from-bottom Cardiff who lost 2-0 at home to Liverpool yesterday.

Spurs go into the game after a 1-0 defeat at title-chasing Manchester City and will be targeting a return to winning ways as they chase a top-four finish.

The game will be the fourth to be played in Spurs' new stadium. Tottenham have won the previous three matches without conceding a goal.

TOTTENHAM

England captain Harry Kane will miss the game with an ankle injury, while Moussa Sissoko and Serge Aurier are also set to miss out.

Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris missed Spurs' 1-0 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday, so Paulo Gazzaniga could continue in goal - especially as Tottenham will already have one eye on the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Ajax next week.

Midfielder Harry Winks and Winger Erik Lamela face late fitness tests Eric Dier returned to action in the 1-0 defeat to City.

Kieran Tripper, Danny Rose and Victor Wanyama could all return to the starting line-up against Brighton.

Likely line-up: Gazzaniga; Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose; Wanyama, Dier; Son, Alli, Eriksen; Moura. Subs (from): Vorm, Walker-Peters, Foyth, Sanchez, Davies, Winks, Skipp, Llorente, Janssen, Lamela.

BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION

Brighton boss Chris Hughton is unlikely to make too many changes from Saturday's 0-0 draw at Wolves.

Midfielder Davy Propper has been ruled out after suffering a hamstring injury at Wolves and winger Anthony Knockaert is suspended but Hughton otherwise has a full squad to choose from.

Beram Kayal or Yves Bissouma will take Propper's place and Martin Montoya could come in for Bruno at right-back.

Jose Izquierdo started for the first time since December at Wolves. The winger could start again at Tottenham unless he is rested for Saturday's match with Newcastle, which would mean either Alireza Jahanbakhsh or Jurgen Locadia come into the side.

Likely line-up: Ryan; Montoya, Duffy, Dunk, Bong; March, Stephens, Kayal, Gross, Izquierdo; Murray. Subs (from): Button, Bruno, Bernardo, Balogun, Burn, Bissouma, Locadia, Jahanbakhsh, Andone.
