Salah's goal came in the 51st minute after he went down under a Pascal Gross challenge.

Third successive league start. Off his line quickly to claim van Dijk ball over the defence. Good save to deny Salah at the start of the second half, before Salah beat him from the penalty spot.
Had to be alert and on his toes all game up against Mane and Robertson. Got forward when possible and Gross had shot blocked from his low cross.
Solid as ever at the back. Defended well against Liverpool's attacking threat of Mane, Firmino and Salah.
Superb in central defence. Excellent aerially when Liverpool sent long balls forward. Blocked Henderson header after Mane sent in a cross.
Came in for Bernardo for the only change from Albion's last Premier League match at West Ham. Dependable as ever at left-back.
Had to work hard defensively with Robertson pushing forward. Little joy going forward. Subbed.
Looked to keep hold of the ball and spread the play. Excellent crossfield pass set Locadia away early on.
Lovely cross headed over by Murray on 16 minutes. Gave the penalty away when Salah went down under his challenge. Almost levelled when Fabinho blocked his shot. Subbed.
Comfortable on the ball, always an option in the middle of the park. Sponsor's man of the match.
Nice run early on after cutting out Henderson pass. Lively down the left and always an outlet with his pace. Low shot pushed behind by Alisson.
Worked hard on his own up front against van Dijk and Fabinho. Headed over from 12 yards after getting away from Fabinho at 0-0. Subbed.
Replaced Murray on 65 minutes. Full of running, sent one shot wide at the near post.
Sent on after 65 minutes. Lively down the right and looked to make things happen.
Got the final 12 minutes.
Pushed behind one Locadia shot but had little to do as he kept his 13th league clean sheet of the season.
An option all the time down the right. Left-footed cross headed just wide by Shaqiri midway through the first half.
Brazilian midfielder was excellent in central defence. Only blip was when he lost Murray, who headed over. Blocked Gross's goalbound shot and also cut out dangerous March pass.
Composed throughout. Lovely ball forward almost found Shaqiri but Button was quick off his line.
Got forward down the left and was always an option. Low cross was just a fraction too far ahead of Firmino early on.
Always an option in the middle of the park. Header blocked by Dunk in the first half.
Composed performance, kept hold of the ball well. Fired inches wide from 20 yards late on.
Lively and looked to make things happen in the first half when he glanced a header just wide. Faded in the second period and subbed.
Full of running and a threat when Liverpool attacked. Sent one shot wide late on. Subbed.
Quiet afternoon but twice went close when he failed to turn home a low Robertson cross and later on had a fierce strike pushed away by Button.
Superb covering tackle on 19 minutes stopped Locadia getting away. Had a low shot saved, shortly before he won and scored the winner from the penalty spot.
Sent on after 72 minutes.
Came on for a couple of minutes.
Introduced in injury-time.
