It is Albion's first FA Cup semi-final for 36 years and they are huge underdogs against Pep Guardiola's City side who are still in the hunt for the quadruple.

The sides have met three times in the Premier League in the past two seasons and City have won all three by a two-goal margin - 2-0, 3-1 and 2-0.

Midfielder Pascal Gross (hamstring) is definitely out and winger Solly March (calf) and forward Jurgen Locadia (calf) are both doubts for the semi-final tie.

Mathew Ryan will be in goal for the tie, while Martin Montoya, Shane Duffy and Lewis Dunk will occupy three of the four defensive positions.

One question mark is at left-back as Chris Hughton could opt to play Gaetan Bong at left-back and use Bernardo on the left-hand side of midfield.

Beram Kayal has started all of Albion's FA Cup ties this season and will be pushing Dale Stephens, Davy Propper and Yves Bissouma for a place in midfield.

Anthony Knockaert, Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Jose Izquierdo will hope to get a starting role on the wing, while Glenn Murray is likely to get the nod to start up front over Florin Andone.

Likely line-up: Ryan; Montoya, Duffy, Dunk, Bong; Stephens, Propper, Kayal; Knockaert, Murray, Bernardo. Subs (from): Button, Bruno, Burn, Balogun, Bissouma, Jahanbakhsh, Izquierdo, Andone, Locadia, March.

MANCHESTER CITY

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola made seven changes for his side's 2-0 win over Cardiff on Wednesday.

Kyle Walker, Vincent Kompany, Bernardo Silva, David Silva, Raheem Sterling and Ilkay Gundogan are among the City stars who could return to the starting line-up.

Left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko went off against Cardiff with a hamstring injury and is unlikely to be fit for Saturday.

Likely line-up: Ederson; Walker, Kompany, Laporte, Danilo; Gundogan, Fernandinho; Sterling, Bernardo Silva, David Silva; Jesus. Subs (from): Muric, Otamendi, Stones, Foden, Mahrez, Sane, De Bruyne, Aguero, Garcia.
