Albion pushed Manchester City all the way before losing 1-0 in the semi-finals of the FA Cup this evening. Here's how we rated the players of both teams.

Gabriel Jesus got the only goal of the game after just three minutes. Brighton pressed for an equaliser and had a few half-chances but were unable to create a clear opportunity to draw level.

No chance with early Jesus opener. Comfortably saved Gundogan shot in the second half and produced two superb stops to deny Sterling.
Went about his business quietly. Kept Sterling quiet in the first half and the winger swapped sides in the second period.
Jesus got behid Albion's central defender to head City in front early on. Made a few crucial headed clearances and a nuisance for City at attacking set-pieces.
Early block to stop De Bruyne's cross and late block to keep out Sterling's goalbound shot. Strong defensive showing. Booked.
Early goal came after a cross his side but got forward when possible. Excellent covering challenge to stop Bernardo Silva cross in the first half.
Had to work hard to keep Albion in possession when they got the ball.
Some nice touches in the middle of the park. Dragged Albion's first effort wide from 20 yards after 20 minutes.
Looked to drive Brighton forward when he got on the ball. Sent Knockaert away late in the first half. Subbed.
Energetic showing and looked to show off his tricks down the wing. Swapped wings regularly with Jahanbakhsh. Drove one shot over from a tight angle. Sponsor's man of the match.
Looked to hold the ball up. Had the ball pinched off his toes by Laporte just as was about to pounce to equalise. Subbed.
Full of running and interchanged on the wings with Knockaert throughout the first half. Involved in incident with Walker for which the City full-back was booked. Subbed.
