Glenn Murray got the only goal early in the second half but Nuno felt Wolves had more than enough chances to get something out of the game as they suffered a second successive Premier League defeat.

Reflecting on the match, Nuno said: "It's disappointing. I have a feeling we deserved more and a feeling we played better than last week and better than our opponents.

"We had a lot of chances and it's disappointing we conceded in the only moment when Brighton had a clear shot. I'm disappointed because we were not focused and disappointed because sometimes the referees see things and sometimes they don't.

"It was a tough game and a tough day but a good reaction from the boys and we have to look forward knowing what happened today that it was not the same as last week. We played better."

Asked about Wolves not taking their chances, Nuno said: "It's something we have to improve. When you create so much, you must improve but not all chances are the same. The way Brighton defended, they were brave.

"We have to improve and get better."

Nuno also felt Wolves could have been awarded a penalty and said: "I haven't seen them back but saw them on the pitch. I know it's hard, the job of a referee, but there was a clear handball. He didn't give it but sometimes he gives it."
