The Commoners are away to fellow Macron Store Sussex County Football League Division Two side Seaford Town in round one of the Sussex Senior Cup.

Common are fourth in the league with 16 points from eight matches, while Seaford prop up the table having yet to open their account from the same number of games.

Tonight’s clash will be the second meeting between the clubs in the space of 12 days. Common were 3-0 winners on their own ground in the previous encounter thanks to first half goals from Steve Morris (2) and Casey Ham.

That was Common’s sixth consecutive victory in all competitions and helped earn them the division’s team of the month award, but they’ve suffered back-to-back 2-1 defeats since then in cup matches against teams from the same division.

Lewis Hole and Ham are set to return after missing the weekend loss at Oakwood in the Division Two Challenge Cup, but Jerome Smith is away at university and there is again no Matt Cruttwell so Ryan Darvill will continue in goal.

Kick-off at The Crouch is 7.30pm.
