The last time the two clubs met each other was in League 2 in 2011-12 when Reds won 1-0 at Aldershot and drew 2-2 at home.

Crawley Town are expected to field a similar line-up appearing at the EBB Stadium to the one which started the two home games against Brighton and Millwall.

Head coach Dermot Drummy said: “We will hopefully pick a strong side for Aldershot and then let the battle for the first team places commence.

“Sometimes someone does really well and someone switches off, they’ve got to know it is not guaranteed they will play. That’s what I want here.

“If you are good and are consistent and you warrant your place, you’ll keep it.

“If you are not and you under-perform there is someone waiting there to take your place, then you have got to get it back.

“We are trying to build that 20-man squad mentality, not easy when you bringing in so many players because I don’t think you will get it perfectly right.

“The important thing for me is that we have a group of quality players who will carry us through the season, not just a decent ten but we’ve got a decent bench to come on.

“In theory whoever plays at Aldershot has to do really well in order to play at Wycombe. They have to make my mind up, so it’s a lovely opportunity at Aldershot.”
