The Seagulls had collected just two points from seven league games this year but Florin Andone's header 11 minutes from time earned Albion a win over Huddersfield.

Dunk felt the three points showed Albion can thrive under the pressure of needing results to stay in the top flight. He said: "There were going to be a bit of nerves because the pressure on us now is massive. Every game is must-win and we have to thrive under that pressure.

"In the second half we showed we can thrive under the pressure and we've just got to make sure we use the pressure to our advantage now."

The victory moved Brighton five points clear of the relegation zone and Dunk said: "It was massive and it was a must-win game. We knew they were coming off the back of a good win themselves and they're fighting like we're fighting.

"We had to fight more than them today and I think it showed we did that, especially in the second half.

"The first half was a bit scrappy for both sides but in the second half we controlled the game.

"The chances kept coming, I had a few, Duffs had a few and we hit the crossbar. I didn't think the goal was coming but thankfully Florin scored.

"Keeping a clean sheet was nice as well as we hadn't kept one for a little while."
