Manchester United captain: We had to dig in to beat Brighton
United took a 2-0 lead into half-time with goals from Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford but Brighton got a goal back through Pascal Gross after 72 minutes and then pressed for the equaliser.
A loud cheer erupted around Old Trafford at the final whistle and United captain Young said afterwards: "The last 15 minutes was backs against the wall and defending deep but we showed that last week (at Tottenham) as well when we defended well as a team.

Hide Ad"At times, you have to dig in against teams like Brighton. I think we could have gone on and got the third and maybe a fourth and killed the game.
"But the main thing for us today was to get the three points.
"We can be more clinical. At 2-0 up, we've got to be more ruthless and kill the game off.
"Then we can start keeping the ball more. We didn't do that and they got the goal but every man defended well."

Hide AdThe win was United's seventh in a row under caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Young said: "When you're winning games and full of confidence, the team spirit is going to be unbelievable but it always is here.
"It's a great place to be and when you're winning games, it's even better.
"We've got to take each game as it comes and keep this winning run going."
