New Heath signing Gilbert to bring '˜experience and quality'

Broadbridge Heath have continued to strengthen their squad with the impressive coup of former Horsham captain Tom Gilbert.

The experienced centre-back joins the Bears from Ryman League South Division side Dorking Wanderers.

Having re-signed for Horsham at the start of the season, the former Eastbourne Borough, Eastbourne Town and Hastings player dual-signed for promotion-chasing Wanderers in October having juts made one start for the Hornets.

Assistant manager Steve Whiting said: “Tom is a great signing. He brings a bit of experience and quality to the team and we needed one or two players like that.

“He is great lad and has settled in well in training and really is a great signing for us.”

Kieron Purkis has left the club to join Division 1 side Oakwood.
