Ryan wants to make Brighton's fans proud at Crystal Palace
Brighton goalkeeper Mathew Ryan says the team will look to make the club’s fans proud when they take on arch rivals Crystal Palace tomorrow.
The Seagulls travel to Selhurst Park for a 12.30pm kick-off looking to get a league double over the Eagles for the first time since the 1983/84 season.
Albion took the bragging rights earlier in the campaign when goals from Glenn Murray, Leon Balogun and Florin Andone sealed a 3-1 win, despite Shane Duffy being red-carded after half-an-hour.
Ryan said: “Derbies are always one for the fans. It has that extra bit of feeling about it and we shall be going there trying to make our fans proud again with the result.
“We have great memories of the game here earlier in the season.
“We shall be enjoying this result (against Huddersfield) but we still have plenty of work ahead of us to get the points that we need.
“It’s another one where we’re going to have to work hard during the week and come game time implement our principles as a side and build on this.”
Brighton are 15th in the Premier League, three points and two places below the Eagles.
