Geoff Shreeves hosted the show with former Premier League players Tim Sherwood and Phil Babb as the guests.

The trio discussed the Premier League relegation issue. Huddersfield and Fulham are 13 and ten points respectively from safety, while third-from-bottom Cardiff are just two points behind both Southampton and Brighton.

Talking about the battle to stay up, former Tottenham and Blackburn midfielder Sherwood said: "Fulham and Huddersfield are gone, then it's one from three.

"It's an alarming drop in form from Brighton but Chris Hughton has got enough in the locker and enough good players to keep them in the division.

"Burnley upwards for me are safe, so it's Southampton or Cardiff. If I had to put my neck on the line I'd say Cardiff (will go down). The three in there now will be the three who get relegated from the Premier League."

Former Liverpool and Ireland defender Babb added: "Cardiff have got another tough game this weekend (away to Wolves) and I can't see them winning that.

"The bottom three for me are gone."

Asked how many points it will take to stay in the Premier League, Sherwood said: "I think 35 points to stay up.

"I don't think there's too much work to do for any of the teams. Can you see Cardiff putting ten points on between now and the end of the season? It's very difficult for them to be able to do that.

"With 28 games gone they've got 25 points in the bag, so I think it's very difficult for them to get out of it from where they are now.

"They're in touching distance of Southampton and Brighton but I just think the experience of Southampton and Brighton and the goalscorers they have at their disposal, it will keep them in the league."

Babb was then asked about Brighton's run of just two points from seven league games and said: "It does happen and it's about stopping that rot. They've got a good opportunity this weekend (at home to Huddersfield) to do that.

"It will be tough but I think they can do it.

"Chris is a good manager and he won't panic. He's very wise, very level-headed and he'll get the best out of those boys.

"He knows they've been tipped the last two seasons to go down and I think he's got enough to keep them up."
