East Preston boss Sammy Donnelly said that conceding two late goals made the draw feel like a defeat.

He said: “All of the squad were a little bit down in the dressing room after the game.

“When you lead by two goals going into the last ten minutes of any game, you would expect to win it.

“It just goes to show how well we performed that we are disappointed to take a point off Loxwood.”

Loxwood were given a lifeline when John Hampson brought down Cave, who dispatched the penalty.

Michael Belli then handled in the penalty area on 90 minutes and Cave netted from the spot to grab a share of the spoils for Loxwood.
