Bernardo has been handed his Brighton & Hove Albion debut in their Premier League opener against Watford this afternoon.

The full-back is the only Albion summer signing to make Chris Hughton's starting XI.

Club record signing Alireza Jahanbakhsh, along with fellow summer additions Yves Bissouma and Leon Balogun, have been named on the bench at Vicarage Road.

The injured Florin Andone misses out along with Jose Izquierdo, who also has a knock. Tomer Hemed, despite scoring three goals in pre-season and being at the ground, did not make the squad.
