West Ham are 11th, two points better off than Brighton, after losing 2-0 at Burnley on Sunday.

The match gets underway at 7.45pm at the London Stadium. It is the final round of Premier League games for the festive period, before both clubs enter the FA Cup at the third round stage this weekend.

Is the game on TV?

No. Newcastle versus Manchester United is the televised game on Wednesday evening.

Brighton are not on television again until they host Burnley on February 9.

What’s the team news?

Marko Arnautovic returned to the Hammers squad after a hamstring injury in their 2-0 defeat at Burnley on Sunday.

Javier Hernandez missed the game with a hamstring injury and is again set to miss out. Defender Fabian Balbuena was ruled out with a knee injury at Burnley but Pablo Zabaleta could return to the squad.

Manuel Lanzini, Winston Reid, Andriy Yarmolenko and Carlos Sanchez remain sidelined with long-term injuries.

Brighton will be without Mathew Ryan and Alireza Jahanbakhsh, who are with Australia and Iran respectively at the Asian Cup.

Winger Jose Izquierdo has missed the last five games with a knee injury.

Anthony Knockaert and Bruno will hope to return to the squad after missing the 1-0 win against Everton at the weekend.
