GOLDS GO GOAL CRAZY

LITTLEHAMPTON FC stormed into the top six with a thumping win at Eastbourne UA on Saturday '” without 29-goal leading scorer Steve Davies as well.

Unfortunately for Golds, it looks as though Davies could miss the rest of the season with glandular fever. He has played for the last four weeks with the illness but Littlehampton boss Carl Stabler is not expecting him to play again this campaign.

However, without their leading marksman and without fellow striker Jonas Templeman, Golds ran in four at Eastbourne and could have won by more.

The scoring did not begin until first-half stoppage time. A defensive mix-up between Eastbourne keeper Mark Oldfield and defender Lewis Parsons allowed Golds' Grant Vanson to win the ball, round Oldfield and score.
