H&B will host Sheppey - who are 17 points clear at the top of the Kent One table - tomorrow (Saturday). Kick-off at Ark William Parker Academy is 2.15pm.

Head coach Chris Brooks said: “The boys are very keen to make an impression on them. Their strengths are pretty universal, but on our day we can beat them - I’ve no doubt about that.”

Sheppey won all of their first 13 league matches, including a 27-17 success in October’s reverse fixture, until being held to a 17-17 draw at home to fifth-placed HSBC last weekend.

“They will be coming down wanting to make amends for that,” added Brooks, who expects to welcome back influential forward John Hanagarth.

H&B dropped a place to fourth after conceding a last gasp try to lose 15-11 at Vigo last weekend.

“It was heartbreaking,” said Brooks. “We did squander a few chances. Having said that, the Vigo boys did play out of their skins, especially the last 15 minutes.

“It was a very good game to watch. We’ve taken away a losing bonus point from a hard fixture and although we’ve dropped a place in the league, we’re still well in touch.”
