Is it all over for Findon?

FINDON are the first to fall in the neck-and-neck race for the championship.

They began a double losing weekend with an unexpected three-wicket defeat at Henfield in the scenario where whoever loses first '” Findon or Crawley Eagles '” can probably forget the title.

Henfield opening bowlers Ryan Bennett and Robert Slaughter justified skipper Kevin Thorns' decision to ask Findon to bat by taking six wickets on a track less predictable after an unsettled week's weather.

Leaders Findon were bowled out for 147 and skipper Nigel Waller admitted: "We got out to an array of poor shots. We needed one guy to come off with the bat, as did Kevin Thorns with his 60 not out, after we'd bowled well and had them 55 for five in reply."
